Dr. Dave Bishop
Editor-in-Chief
A veteran boxing promoter, executive, and media leader, Bishop has built his career at the intersection of sport, business, and storytelling. Through Bishop Boxing Promotions, he has developed platforms for emerging talent, staged competitive events, and advocated for stronger structures, transparency, and financial accountability within professional boxing.
As Editor-in-Chief of BoxNation Magazine™️, he leads editorial direction and coverage of the global fight game, with a particular focus on African boxing, fighter development, and the business behind the sport.
Known for his strategic vision and commitment to athletes, Bishop works across promotion, management, and media to elevate fighters from prospects to contenders. His leadership reflects a broader mission: to build a sustainable boxing ecosystem that creates opportunities in and out of the ring.
Bishop continues to collaborate with federations, promoters, managers, and corporate partners to advance boxing in Ghana, the United States, and internationally.
Helga Gokah
Executive Editor
Box Nation Magazine is proud to welcome veteran Ghanaian sports journalist Helga Gokah as Executive Editor.
With over 14 years of experience in mainstream sports reporting, production, and commentary, Helga brings a wealth of expertise to our editorial leadership. She spent over a decade as a presenter and commentator at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, serving as a designated boxing reporter for Radio Ghana.
She previously served as Head of Sports at The Tide Newspaper, and currently holds the roles of Sports Editor at The Vanguard Newspaper and CEO of Orange Brand Media.
Helga holds a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication from the African University College of Communications (AUCC) and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Sports Management and Communication at Wright State University in the United States.
We are excited for the vision, credibility, and depth she brings to Box Nation Magazine.
Emmanuel Austin Baah
Senior Vice President
Emmanuel Austin Baah joins BoxNation Magazine with nearly 20 years of extensive experience in media. His career spans positions at Radio Peace, Radio Gold, Montie FM, and the Catholic Standard Newspaper. He has also excelled as the acting sports editor for the Sports Enquirer Newspaper and led as Editor-in-Chief for SportsnetghTv and Sportsnetgh.com.
A proactive media committee member for Ghana Athletics, Emmanuel's dedication to sports journalism has been recognized with the Youth Journalist of the Year award for Awutu-Senya West in 2024. His expertise and forward-thinking approach are set to drive BoxNation Magazine to new heights.
